| A standard home inspection is to determine the condition of your home to see if there are any areas of concern in the typical areas that most homes include. These are the structure and its components from the roof to the foundation; the electrical system; the plumbing system; the HVAC (air conditioning) system; and built-in appliances. | $250.00 up to 2200 sq ft | For each additional 500 sq ft increment, $25 is added on, so 2201 sq ft is $275.00 |
| Optional Systems that I will inspect include lawn sprinklers; swimming pools; out buildings; outdoor cooking equipment; and fire inspection equipment. | Only performed with a standard or foreclosure inspection. There is a $30.00 charge for each optional system inspected. | No additional cost for larger homes. |
| System Inspection involves examining one system of the standard inspection. | For inspecting one system only, there is a $150.00 charge. | |
| Roof Inspection involves an examination of the roof and the attic | $85.00 | |
| REO Inspection (if you are purchasing a foreclosure, you will want a standard home inspection; this option is for investors or lenders who wish the property secured) involves checking on the condition of the property as in a standard inspection, but repairs to design elements (like carpeting, painting, and fixtures) is included. Then a winterization process is performed. | $325.00 up to 2200 sq ft | For each additional 500 sq ft increment, $25 is added on, so 2201 sq ft is $350.00 |
The specifics for a standard inspection by looking at each system are detailed in posts in this section, which will also provide you with information to help you through the process of purchasing a home. If you are interested in only having one section of your home inspected, you will be able to find out about the inspection process in that section. These posts will give you a good bit of knowledge on the inspection process, but going to the category entitled “For the Real Estate Investor” will give you much more data, so you can look for some areas of concern on your own.
This page will give you information on roof inspections as well as information about your roof.
This page will give you information on foreclosure inspections as well as information about your foreclosures.
