Electricity Loving Ants
I have seen various pests invade homes when performing my home inspections. Typically bats, birds, rodents, and termites pose the biggest problems that I have encountered. I frequently come across ants, but for the most part, these have been a nuisance. However, there is an ant that can cause a blackout in your home. It originated in Asia, but is now spreading across Europe. The big problem: they have proven resistant to the normal poisons used on ants. Here is a report from the UK about these ants.
